Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented sales professional to drive business growth for Medical Devices and Sutures within the assigned territory. The role involves promoting products to surgeons, corporate hospitals, nursing homes, and trade hospitals while building strong customer relationships and achieving business targets. The ideal candidate should possess strong market knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage territory operations effectively.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Promote Medical Devices and Sutures to surgeons, hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and expand business opportunities across corporate and trade hospitals.
  • Identify and convert potential customers to increase market penetration and revenue growth.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with surgeons, OT staff, procurement teams, and hospital administrators.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen engagement and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide timely resolution to customer queries, complaints, and service-related concerns.
  • Ensure high levels of customer retention and account management.

3. Product Promotion & Clinical Support

  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for healthcare professionals.
  • Support surgeons and OT teams during product trials and clinical usage where required.
  • Communicate product features, benefits, and competitive advantages effectively.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and stay updated on new launches and clinical applications.

4. Territory Management

  • Plan and manage daily field activities to maximize productivity and coverage.
  • Monitor sales performance and market trends within the assigned geography.
  • Ensure regular follow-up on leads, enquiries, and pending orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and territory updates.

5. Market Intelligence & Competition Tracking

  • Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, and product movements in the market.
  • Gather customer feedback and market insights to support business planning.
  • Identify emerging opportunities in hospitals and healthcare institutions.
  • Share market intelligence with management for strategic decision-making.

6. Order Management & Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams for smooth order processing, dispatch, and delivery.
  • Ensure timely fulfilment of customer requirements and after-sales support.
  • Follow up on payments and outstanding collections as per company policy.
  • Maintain proper documentation related to sales and customer accounts.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in Science, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field
  • Experience in Medical Devices, Sutures, Pharmaceuticals, or Healthcare Sales preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Familiarity with local healthcare market, hospitals, and surgeon network
  • Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory
